WHAT WE DID

The Adria is a brand new, state-of-the-art apartment building in the heart of Madison Wisconsin’s downtown district. Fortress went to work orchestrating everything from the name and brand of the building to the backend development of the website, and every marketing effort in between. We are excited for The Adria to be introduced to its target market of younger professionals when the building opens its doors in summer 2023.

THE CHALLENGE

To build a brand from scratch and develop an online identity to match it means leaving no stone unturned. We know the legacy of our work will remain intact however long the Adria stands, so we needed a comprehensive strategy that met the gravity of the endeavor.

THE SOLUTION

We developed an unmistakable brand identity for Adria, fit with a professional, sleek, and highly functional website to compliment the brand and communicate – both visually and in writing – what sets the Adria apart. We left no questions unanswered.

THE NAME

Our naming process is intentional and thorough. After several internal brainstorm sessions, we determined that the name “Adria” – with its connotations to water and strong visual elements – was memorable, practical, and strong.

THE LOGO

Our graphic design team followed a similar process for the logo as the team did with the name, presenting to the client a deck of several high-quality options fit to represent Adria. The selected logo stands strong and serves as a memorable mark of luxury, sustainability and community.

THE WEBSITE

The Adria website is not only user-friendly, it’s user-focused, with the goals and challenges of Adria’s customers dictating all of our decisions from the perspective of content, design, and backend functionality.

The Adria was the second Madison-based luxury residential development we have branded and built a website for, meaning we have gained an appreciation for the city of Madison from afar. The city is consistently ranked as one of the best midsize cities in the country, with the ideal blend of walkability, safety, and culture. There is something for everyone, and we are happy to help connect Madison’s changing demographic to their potential new homes.

Fortress is a fast-growing digital marketing and branding agency headquartered in Chicago that has worked with clients ranging from global corporations like Nike, Jordan, All-State, Acura, athletes, and celebrities like Kevin Hart, Steph Curry, prestigious universities, startups, and everyone in between. We’re currently seeking a full-time Senior Designer to join the team and work out of our Chicago, IL office. The right person for this position sees the bigger picture while remaining passionate about the details.

You’re knowledgeable and skilled in Web, Branding, large-scale marketing campaigns, and more. You’re a jack of all trades in creative software, but you also have a passion for design beyond the screen. You understand that great design is in the nuance—that subtle cultural references should be woven into the things you create and every project should be approached with the end-user at the center of it. You love working on a team with diverse perspectives and you’re willing to learn from as well as build up those around you. At the core, you’re a problem solver with a knack for making things look good.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Contribute to various projects in web, brand identity, and print across multiple industries
Collaborate and ideate with the design and marketing teams, while also giving and receiving feedback on designs
Create presentations and asset kits to be delivered to team members, clients, and partners
Present your creatives to clients with the ability to back up your ideas, while also being open to new ideas and critiques

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

3-5 years of experience working in design and digital marketing
A strong portfolio with a diverse array of work and a strong foundation in basic design principles (typography, layout, color, UX/UI)
Problem-solving and storytelling abilities
Multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Experience working in Adobe CC and Figma
3D, Animation, Video Editing, and Photography is a plus
A collaborative mindset
A good sense of your own design and visual style
Attention to detail
A passion for growth and a never-ending curiosity
